University's Third Role and Partnerships

The key areas of Charles University's Sustainable Development Strategy include the Third Role and external cooperation. The role of Charles University is to participate in current social development and to contribute to the dissemination of the latest scientific knowledge and values in the area of sustainable development.

In its third role, Charles University aims to popularize science and research in the area of sustainable development through the organization and co-organization of various events. Notable events include the Sustainable Development Roundtable held in 2023, where the Strategic Plan was discussed and presented. During the year, various events take place, for example, as part of European Mobility Week and European Sustainable Development Week. All other events, such as plant swaps, breakfast for resilience, or food collections, can be viewed in the Sustainable News feed. A large number of events are also held at Campus Hybernská.

As a part of cooperation and external communication, CU cooperates with universities and other actors on a national and international level.
