As a progressive educational institution, Charles University strives to strengthen sustainability themes in education, scientific research, and academic activities. It gradually incorporates new study programmes and courses and supports both basic and applied research projects, supervision of student theses, and encourages publication activities related to sustainability topics.

An educational medium that reaches not only the university community but also the general public is the podcast Udržitelná Karlovka ("Sustainable Charles Uni"). A new episode is released every month, introducing the agenda of sustainable development and green innovative approaches to life at Charles University. It doesn't just focus on big global issues, but also on practical steps that listeners can immediately incorporate into their lives. So far, the episodes are only available in Czech.

In 2024, Charles University conducted an online questionnaire survey that focused on the choice of means of transport when traveling to study and work. The survey was part of the UR Action Plan and its aim was to map the current transport habits of students and employees. The questionnaire is available HERE.
