Gratis Market is an exchange corner and re-use shop established by Charles University as a part of sustainable development agenda in cooperation with the Studentská Hybernská initiative. It works on the principle of taking what you need, bringing what you don’t need, and it is primarily aimed at students, but anyone can get involved.
You can bring anything except food and clothes. Smaller items can be left in the designated storage area, and we will take care of them and put them in their place. But if you plan to bring something larger, please let us know in advance so we can find space for it. Thus, even chairs, shelves, or tables will find a second use.
In the shelves of the swap corner you can find dishes, household items, jewellery, books, or even toys. There are also treasures such as a gramophone, a plasma lamp, or board games. You can follow what’s new in the Gratis Market on our Instagram page “Weekly update”.
We are located in the Building B of Kampus Hybernská and we are open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The space is not wheelchair accessible, but you can contact us and we will work it out together.
You can contact us either by email at or by text message on Instagram.
We look forward to your visit!
