From October 21 to November 25, 2024, an online questionnaire survey was conducted at Charles University focusing on the choice of means of transport when traveling to study and work. The research was part of the SD Action Plan and aimed to map the current transport behavior of students and employees, determine their willingness to change the mode of transport for car trips and identify motivations, barriers and basic socio-economic characteristics of respondents.
Students were included in the survey through quota selection (n = 9,876, return rate 13.4%, resulting sample 1,324 respondents, average age 23.5 years) and employees through a general approach (n = 1,709 respondents, of which 57% were academics, average age 44.8 years).
