On 17th of June 2025, Association of social responsibility organised an event celebrating Giving Tuesday initiative's 10 years in Czechia. Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity celebrated in over 100 countries, with the Czech version marking its decade-long anniversary. It emphasized promoting solidarity and kindness, with a focus on corporate campaigns.
The event took place at Dudes & Barbies' Vnitroblock, where members of the Association for Social Responsibility gathered to kick off preparations for this year's edition. The goal was to motivate large companies to launch creative and impactful campaigns.
Charles University’s Sustainable Development team attended this event to explore further collaboration on social responsibility initiatives and engage in the inspiring work of Giving Tuesday.
Throughout the event, there were stories about practical initiatives, art that makes a difference, and a touching appearance by Elis, an assistance pony, who delighted attendees and spread joy. The event also introduced the U.MĚNÍ project (Art Changes project), where people could borrow art for a good cause. Other highlights included employee charity campaigns, corporate volunteering, and discussions on the impact of corporate social responsibility. The data shared by Ipsos researchers revealed that 55% of Czechs find corporate social responsibility important, though only 16% would accept a lower salary to work for a responsible company.
