            The European University Alliance 4EU+ [ URL "https://4euplus.eu/4EU-1.html"] brings togeth
            universities that share a commitment to promoting excellence in education, research, and i
            Charles University is one of the founding members, along with Heidelberg University, the U

            Copenhagen, the University of Milan, Sorbonne University Paris and the University of Warsa
            objective of the Alliance is to create a common European education and research area that 
            sustainable development and to addressing global challenges.


            The cooperation is divided into four flagships [ URL "https://4euplus.eu/4EU-576.html?"] ,

            based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and cover the themes of Health and Demograph
            Europeanness, and Digitalization and Environmental Transitions. CU is the lead institution
            and co-leader of the other three.


            Within the year 2024, the inter-institutional cooperation has been strengthened even furth
            to the ongoing mapping of sustainability-related activities at member universities, prepar

            has commenced on the development of a methodology and the definition of strategic objectiv
            further advancement of this agenda. Simultaneously, collaboration was initiated on the inn
            MICI project, which aims to develop micro-certifications and enhance digital competencies 

            of sustainable development, marking a significant step toward a modern, inclusive, and fut
            educational system.
