České hlavičky ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** The České hlavičky competition originated from a science-popularization project named Česk has been successfully promoting the outreach of scientists and technical professionals. Th culminates in the annual awarding of the National Government Prize "Česká hlava" and other to science and technology. The comprehensive programme supports talented students with technical and scientific backg contributes to increasing young people's interest in studying related disciplines at secon and universities. In addition, it develops their interests in science and encourages them scientific career. The project not only informs the wider public of news in the field of s supports talented students as role models for their peers through media campaigns and publ activities. "České hlavičky" was first launched in 2007. In its 16th edition (2022), a new category – "Sustainable Development," sponsored by Charles University – was introduced for the first recognizes outstanding work and projects that contribute to sustainable development goals individual and societal level. It focuses on the responsible use of natural resources, the climate, the sustainability of cities and communities, equal opportunities, and the qualit future generations. The winner receives a financial award of CZK 30,000.
